fun but requires a fast pc

ok this is a freakin frustrating game if I ever saw one. first, it took me like 3 hours trying to pass this game to the last stage with my pc, at first. gameplay is quite fast but slows down real quick as there are more and more animatable people on the screen. well i got to last stage, but didn't know how to kill the boss, shot him in the eye, on the case, shot the light etc. then i restarted stage but the screen didn't load. only the background did. this may be just a bug in My pc, but i had to start the game all over again.

Fortunately, I passed through in about 20 mins byt enlargening the screen so that there was nothing but the game this time being processed by bmy pc. well, thats not over seeing I still didn't know how to kill the last guy. upon scrolling 22 pages of review - only to find "this is great game please make more" reviews and nothing of actually HELFUL - thank you very much, guys. and through walkthough sites, that said "oh im not gonna tell you how to pass level 13 hee hee" i finally got to this page saying you have to shoot the rope which is holding that metal bar when the guy is passing it so it crushes him. Whew!

after I had finished the dude , the game froze and completely crashed my browser. so I had to start over again and play the game through 3rd time

1 note on the AI as the last guy mentioned. it is indeed stupid to see rest of the street running like mad when u shoot someone BUT the next victim youre supposed to shoot. i see that it is so that when the shot hits them near enough they start running. it helps the aiming , sure, on diffciult missions, but still looks pretty stupid.

tip: the right target usually is the guy who's taking a smoke or stops walking early on.

i dont know what happens when the lab blows up all i hear is music. my browser really does crash at that point but im reading walkthoughs it is the end.

Graphics: 9

awesome, detailed work. the guys outfits could vary, though. or have details.

Sound: 10

dramatic. adds feeling that wouldn't exist normally making you feel when you read the text: This is wrong!

Style: 6

Obvioulsy you ripped off Quentin Tarantino. everuthing s the same, chracter themes, coloring, envronment. I dont respect it.

Interactivity: 10

lots and lots of clicking and moving the mouse. both fast-paced and accurate, needing patience.

Violence: 10

its based on violence entirely.

Humor: 4

well there ar more tad bits flying around in the form of dark humor jokes and falling/flying heads. always enjoyed de-jawing that reverend!

(Cummability: 6

some guys could get huge boners on the adult store advertisements seen in stages. particularly 1 or 2 females in neon lights look HOT! i gotta tell ya, everyhting but the butane lighter fluid is correct, us men really are B@stards!)

Overall: 8

its a dark sniper set into a dark Sin City world.

ArifRocks responds:

I understand your concerns about the freezing and the AI. It was an experimental first game and all the issues you've raised will (hopefully!) be corrected in the new one so there'll be plenty to look forward to. Although I think the Tarantino references are totally coincidental. This game was more inspired by The Crow and Sin City. :)

not a very good game

Graphics: 3

Okay, I prefer simple, and I think simple is the best. But GOD this game has bad graphics. of all the reviewing I've done in the past years, not giving too many submissions a bad score on graphics, if this game doesn't deserve a low score on graphics, nothing does.

Ok, I like the whole desperado thing that you have going on in the end, and the idea that you can Shoot and Kill annoying characters. but what nothered me was the end: why its so short and ends like it did. you only get to shoot a few guys and thats it.

Sound: 4

Not really bad. funky, actually. just not my style.

Violence: 7

Violence definitely the best attribute, lots of blood and gore. Although you shoot only IMAGINARY characters.

Interactivity: 6

Interactivity is also good for this movie. you have lots of lots of buttons and things to press. but i also notcie that they are pretty pointless to press. you get forward or backward from the menu/ end button which you would anyways by clicking the opponents. and even f you win you still get the same message if you pass w 0 score.

Humor: 5

Mixed Opinions: on the other hand i enjoy it, on the other i ponder should I be enjoying and wasting my time on this.

Yes, I had used the charachters from an animation I used along time ago. I submitted this to get peoples thoughts about this game and also suggestions. I am already making a sequel, I'm not sure if it will be a game or a movie.
But thanks for the constructive critisism! I will try harder next time!
Oh! Crap... at first this was just a demo with one frame and I put go to next frame and forgot to change it... Thanks for noticing!

well...

because of the terrible lagging i can't rlly give this one morre than two...
even though it has great musics and the the game idea is sort of good, the game just lags too much. other than that, if i was able to play it to the further enough, this game could probably be even too easy...;)

the style kinda lacks in thsone for a Denvish game.... come on, grounding down bubbles that a wizard accidently released in an experiment that release explosins when they reach high enough, by filling them with ICONS?? hah, even the weapons-icons look more dangerous than the bubbles, but i guess that's just your point of artistic view.

Sound, as always, in a Denvish game....*wink wink* is great. althouhg it gets a very boring after the first few. i don't know..... SECONDS!!! what, ids there like-- only ONE theme music playing in there, or what, at leats, i didn't get to pay much attention as i was trying to catch those damn slow moving and lagging bubbles...... maybe it's just a good thing, if the music would change too much then the players wouldn't get the changece to focus on the game.... this time.

Welll focring those Innocent Bullles going down by shoaving aweapons icons inside theam isn't Actually my sence of violence, but i guess you gotta rate it when u see it happening..... ;)

few i have seen a such an interatcive game... oh i bow at youre feet great Denvish!!!! no,,,,,, but seriously, the cart, was pretty uselesss, as later on the bubbles went moving so fast, that is according, to the bubbles' rate!!! that i wasn't able to move the cart fast enough to cathch anyhtingn, so it just stoood there. and the movement of the bubbles on the screeen and the mouse on the that keeps feeding it icons gets pretty repetetive too so its not very inter-Active!!! buuuuut, nonenthelessss......

HUMOR***

this is my favorite part to note from: seriously:::: humor????!!!! is IS NOT FUN WATTCHING A Grounsp of colored balloons flaying up in the air in tides for very long!!!!! it wouldnd take,,,, like- a psychotpatch or a hopelessly retartded ill-mineded human being in ordered to keep that fun for very along......!!!! especially long enoaugh to get a those much desired high- scores you keep putting on every game........

Denvish responds:

Hmmm. It shouldn't lag that badly, all the graphics are cached as bitmaps. On my machine, I've had 500+ bubbles on the screen at the same time (during testing), and still not used 100% of the CPU... CPU usage in a game is something I take very seriously (I have to with API games, since they require a lot of power), and since no-one else has mentioned lag, I'm guessing it's a problem with your operating system or graphics card.

Yeah, the premise for the game isn't great, but I was somewhat restricted by the AG theme of medievality (real word? perhaps not).

Audio: The filesize of the entire game is 99KB, of which 70KB is audio. I don't think I did too bad for 70 KB.

Humour? Yeah, not funny at all. I guess no-one got the wizard-bedn reference on the game over screen ;D

its a bit too easy...

i played the frist waves throuhg without dying and hardly even getting my shields dented. that kept aoan going untill i checked the help section without pausing. that lost me lost two extrea lives. if thata handnt happend i prorbably wouldnt have died at all, thats how difficult the "infamous" Panic level is . finally i got 300114 score but i didnt bother to post it becoase im sure other people got further than that . theyll just simply have to play the game longer, thats all.

Denvish responds:

1) I didn't realise the Panic stage was 'infamous' !!!
2) You wouldn't have died whilst viewing help, because when you open the help file, the pause is auto-triggered.
3) If you had got 300114, your name would be on the scoreboard as '------'.
It isn't.
Currently the top highscore is 535422 (R1V4L). When I see your name up there above that, then I'll believe you. Until then, I won't.

A crappy day With Newgrounds Exp. points is better than a crappy day Without Newgrounds Exp. points. I have had a lot of crappy days.
